Growing up in southern Indiana as a child, I have fond memories visiting my grandpa’s farm. This is what inspired my interest in agriculture.  My name is Wade Hart. I am from Terre Haute, Indiana and will be entering my senior year this fall at Purdue University. I am majoring in agricultural sales & marketing with a minor in organizational leadership. Additionally, I will also be earning my certificate in entrepreneurship and innovation. It is safe to say that I come from a Purdue Family, with my mom working for Purdue Extension for more than 20 years and having both my siblings attending Purdue as well.

Both Purdue and 4-H have been a huge part of my life. My hobbies include playing sports, specifically running and golf. I also enjoy camping, traveling, photography, and spending time with my family and friends. I am also an active member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity and a member of the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA). Last summer I worked as a sales & marketing intern for Agreliant Genetics with Agrigold seeds. This summer I am interning for Acres Group as a customer service specialist.

Since May, I have had the privilege of interning with Acres Group in a customer service specialist role. In this role, I have shadowed and assisted account managers and regional account managers in daily business interactions, visited sites to check production and maintenance, and have had the opportunity to take place in design and proposal biddings. I jumped at the chance to be apart of Acres Group because I knew it would provide me with diverse experiences allowing me to see a 360-degree view of an industry that would challenge me to grow as a professional. My favorite part about working for Acres Group has been learning customer consulting and budgeting from a variety of different professionals and seeing firsthand how much they value and promote a positive company culture.
