-
SPRUCE SPIDER MITES:
Crawlers are active in late spring/early summer and again at this time. Also
will need a dormant oil spray.
-
MAGNOLIA SCALE
CRAWLERS:
Spray crawlers at this time along with a dormant oil spray. CHECK YOUR
MAGNOLIAS!
-
EUONYMUS SCALE:
The Morton Arboretum reported a 2nd generation of crawlers at the
end of August. Spray for crawlers now along with a dormant oil spray and a
spray in June. Multiple sprays in June if heavily infested.
-
WOOLY APHIDS:
Still active, spray now
-
FALL WEBWORM:
Do not confuse with eastern tent cats that we see in spring. Usually do not
warrant spray.
-
GRUBS: Need to be
treated with Dylox (curative) at this time. This is a granular treatment that
needs to be watered in.
-
DOLLAR SPOT:
Must be sprayed in early development stage for best results. Proper fertility
will reduce the occurrence and severity. Another good reason for a 4TH
Fertilization!
